ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ || ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਹਿਿ ||
We are very concerned to note the attempts being made to communalise the Indian Farmers Campaign into a non-existent faith-based conflict.
Some on social media, TV channels and other media appear to be pushing a narrative of hate and community disharmony both in India and UK. This is strongly condemnable.
A poster is currently in circulation to hold a number of pro-India car rally’s next Saturday in high Sikh population areas and near Gurdwara Sahibs. This is highly provocative and clearly designed to create community tensions or disruptive incidents to catalyse further events. The Police Forces in all three towns have been alerted and we expect them to take decisive steps to manage the situation.
We further urge everyone to take extra care with social and other media to prevent being provoked by disruptive elements and hateful rhetoric which is designed to divert attention away from the national Indian Farmers Campaign against Corporatisation of the agricultural sector which will inevitably lead to modern day slavery and increase in costs to the consumers.
